Intelligent Vehicle Identification allows for number plate-based access and ticketless solutions - including number plate-based payment - in a state-of-the-art approach. The classic ticketing system is still available, while the hybrid solution offers a ticket-saving option: a ticket only needs to be issued if the number plate is not recognisable.
